Dear Friends,
On behalf of World Education Services (WES), thank you for being a valued partner of our organization.
WES is dedicated to helping international students, immigrants, and refugees achieve their educational and career goals in the United States and Canada. WES has set the standard in the field of international academic credential evaluation. Drawing on nearly 50 years of experience, WES works to develop programmatic, philanthropic, and policy solutions to issues of global mobility and inequity. We partner closely with institutions, community-based organizations, and policymakers to advance social and economic inclusion.
This work is deeply personal for me. Throughout my lifetime, I have been an immigrant, I have been a refugee, and I have been an international student. I came to the U.S. from Sri Lanka, which had been battered by a 30-year civil war; tens of thousands were killed – including members of my own family.
Since coming to the U.S., I have dedicated my career to paying it forward and to the institutions that brought me to where I am today. From working in the government sector to the business sector, and now as the leader of a non-profit social enterprise, I am proud to continue partnering closely with respected institutions like yours. Together, we are changing lives for the better.
At WES, we recognize that our institutional clients and partners are essential to the success of our organization and mission. We are here to support you in any way we can, and we look forward to working closely with you in the years ahead to help build economies and societies that are inclusive and welcoming to all.
Sincerely,
Esther T. Benjamin

WES standard credential evaluation reports (Document-by-Document or Course-by-Course) do not expire. Many of our applicants order additional copies of their reports once their initial evaluation is complete. Doing so allows them to pursue new academic and professional opportunities as they arise.
WES standard credential evaluations (Document-by-Document or Course-by-Course) have a lifelong value and do not expire. Applicants may order additional copies of their report at any time and may continue using their WES credential evaluation report as they pursue new academic and professional opportunities.

When the graduate admissions office at Kutztown University started to receive emails claiming to be from WES, the admissions team knew something did not feel right. The university contacted WES directly and the team investigated the suspicious emails. Find out what Kutztown learned and how you can prevent fraud in your own admissions processes.
Our team often receives questions about long-cycle degree programs (also known as first professional degrees)and how WES assesses and reports on these credentials. We understand this is a complex subject, so we asked Gregory Blitstein, policy analyst at WES, to explain further.
Tom Kleinert is the Associate Director, Admissions and Recruitment at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, a longtime partner of WES. We recently sat down with Tom to discuss a wide range of topics, from trends in higher education to the trajectory of his career, and his experience working with WES.
“Thank you so much, World Education Services, you made me the happiest person today with my Evaluation Completion Notification. [Please] receive heartfelt appreciation from a very grateful heart. Did you know that WES is a non-profit social enterprise? In addition to evaluating international academic credentials, we develop and support programs that promote immigrant and refugee inclusion.
In July 2016, WES launched the Refugee Pilot Project to meet the academic credential evaluation needs of the large number of Syrian refugees arriving in Canada without full proof of their academic credentials. Following the pilot, the WES Gateway Program was established in 2018 with the mission of providing qualified individuals displaced by conflict, environmental disasters, and economic turmoil with a high-quality credential evaluation report that is recognized and accepted by employers, higher education institutions, and regulatory bodies throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The new WES Global Records Verification Report for NZQA is designed to expedite services for individuals who qualify for resident visas under the country’s skilled migrant category.
The WES 2022 Annual Report, Shaping Inclusive Systems, showcases important milestones from the year—like assessing more than half a million credentials for individuals planning to work, study, and live in Canada and the U.S.
